I am a 2x national champion and former Team USA synchronized team member and have been coaching figure skating and power skating for 20 years. I am a life-long fitness enthusiast and marathon runner and have combined my competitive, coaching, and fitness experiences to create my SKATERFIT Training Method.

I have been coaching all levels of figure skating for over 20 years to skaters from around the world. It is my passion for the sport that drives me to share my knowledge with my students, encouraging them to reach their fullest potential. I teach both virtual and in-person skating lessons.
I work with hockey players from beginner to pro to advance their skating skills. Focusing on technique, I have proven results in advancing my students to increase power, edge quality, control, endurance, and overall ice skating skills. I work with hockey programs and individual students.
Skaterfit has been a wonderful addition to my students off-ice training! Stephanie offers clear and concise training in a challenging, fun atmosphere. Stephanie has been working with my athletes, between the ages of 9-15, varying in levels from Freeskate through Intermediate for the last few months and I have seen progress in their balance, coordination, core strength and overall fitness levels. Stephanie does an utterly thorough and fantastic job at teaching me off-ice conditioning. In the beginning I was concerned that doing classes online would not be as effective as doing classes in person. I am very happy to report that with Stephanie's guidance, this is NOT a problem at all! She makes it a priority for all her students to perform each exercise with proper form in order to prevent injury. I have been improving so much each week with her exercises. Not only am I gaining more stamina, I am also getting stronger to perform these off-ice jumps ON ice! And by the way...all of her classes are super affordable! Stephanie is one of my former ice-dancing students. When l found out she was offering a series of fitness classes, especially for skaters, l decided to try the classes out. Here are some of the highlights….the classes run very smoothly, and are very well planned out. Seamless transitions from one exercise to the other, and all chosen exercises work a range of muscle groups, focusing on building strength, stamina, balance, flexibility, and coordination. On a personal note….l am recovering from a knee injury, and these classes have helped tremendously, to bring me closer to a full recovery. Stephanie is sensitive to any physical issues the class participants might be experiencing, and will adjust her instructions to protect/strengthen physical issues. Stephanie brings the same dedication, respect, and energy to these classes, as she displayed as a student. Join the class!! It is really good for you.

I would like to give a review about both my personal experience with Coach Stephanie and about my daughter's experience as well. I found Coach Stephanie via FB and have been following her posts for a while, before joining one of her on-line group conditioning classes. I have been learning how to skate for a few years, but I felt that I needed something extra to be able to advance to the next level. After working in the conditioning group for a few months, I am happy to say that I feel the difference! I have started feeling it after several sessions already. I am more balanced on the ice, my core is stronger. Despite the fact that the classes are done in a group setting, Coach Stephanie pays attention to every participant. We can always ask questions, give comments, ask for clarifications on the exercises and also ask for advice. I have found these classes to be the necessary factor for my progress.
After doing the conditioning classes for a while, I was so impressed that I thought that my daughter, who is a competitive synchronized skater, would be able to benefit from on-line classes with Coach Stephanie as well. Here we chose the private lessons option, since she needed to work on specific directions required for my daughter's progress in her skating. Coach Stephanie managed to make the lessons very engaging and productive at the same time. The lessons have been going so well, that even after we reached the goal, my daughter wanted to continue the lessons to continue the improvement and to be able to improve in other elements as well. The progress was also noticed by my daughter's figure skating coach, so it is not just our opinion.
I can certainly say that Coach Stephanie is a great coach for various levels and ages!
