"A good hockey player plays where the puck is. A great hockey player plays where the puck is going to be. " - Wayne Gretzky
From a young age, I remember watching the Yale Men's Ice Hockey Team during practices and game warm-ups and pointing out the players with the best edges and finesse in his skating skills. I would point out the players who were from various countries and their very different skating styles.
Since becoming a coach, I greatly enjoy working with hockey players of all levels. I realize the value of what having a solid skating foundation brings to the game of hockey. No matter your level, it is never too late to improve your power and edge quality.
I have designed training programs for hockey players to improve their power, edge quality, control & body awareness, and overall skating skills.
Now, just don't ask me to shoot the puck. There is a video of that somewhere... lol.
